Our season for workshops and classes is over.  We are, however in the process of lining up workshops for next season.  Next season we will bring you regular painting classes with artist  Gary Odmark,

3rd Annual LOVE FEST - Tie Dye Celebration
Saturday, February 12 from 11:00 am - 3 pm

Fun for all ages!  Bring your own 100% cotton light colored shirt to Dye for a small fee of $5.00. Or purchase a dyable shirt, scarf, sock etc at the gallery. Instructors will be available.

This year we have storytelling by Wilson Hawthorn author of "The Last Pirate". Enjoyment for children of all ages.

Songwriter Workshop February 26 with Annie Wenz and Kip Lawrence
 

Have you ever written a song? Would you like to learn how to paint a picture using only words? Have you wondered what it takes to make it as a songwriter? Have all these questions answered and get a free concert to boot from two of the areas finest songwriters at Koucky Gallery and Gardens 5971 Bay Point Rd. Bokeelia, Fl. (239)283-4414
on Saturday, February 26th from 5-6:30 p.m. in Koucky's Courtyard at the gallery. The cost is $25.00 or $15.00 for students. The workshop is to be followed by a potluck dessert concert from 7-9 p.m. For the concert alone please donate 5-10 dollars. The concert is free for those in the workshop.
 
      Annie Wenz is a singer/songwriter/performer, RN, biker & player of guitar, piano, drums, wooden flutes & hubcaps from Queens, who has traveled over 25 countries over 25 years "bringing people together through music". She's performed at arts centers, festivals & coffeehouses from coast to coast & abroad, and from dusty dives in Denver & back alley biker bars in Boston, to fu fu places like The Kennedy Center in Washington DC & "New Zealand's Millennium Celebration". She's performed & taught & written with some of the world's most renowned  artists such as Kip Lawrence, Senegalize drum wizard Massamba Djop (Babba Mal),  Robert Dean (Sinead O'Connor's guitarist), "Futureman" of Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Dr Jeri Nielsen of the Ice Bound book & movie, and National Boyd Award winning novelist Robert Macomber. Her story songs are inspired by her journeys... kayaking & backpacking around the world, working as an activist, registered nurse, rafting guide, road rash biker, and teacher. She just released a brand shiny new CD "Ride the Sky" which debut as #9 in Nov. on the international Folkdj list. & she has 6 previous CDs on her own independent label including her instrumental CD  "Winds of the World", soundtrack for the feature film "Gateway to Faeries".For more information about Annie visit: www.anniewenz.com
      Kip Lawrence is well known as a member of The Yard Dogs but songwriting has always been his main focus. In the past 2 years he has seen growing success as a writer while pitching his songs for television, movies and video. Kip has also worked at The Key West Songwriters Fest as well as creating his own festivals, namely, The Southwest Florida Songwriters Fest and The Southwest Florida Folk And Blues Fest.  Kip's solo cd "Alone With A Song" still sells and he is at work on his second cd which will be finished by April. With The Yard Dogs, he has helped to write and produce 10 cd's.
